Climate friendly 51勛圖轎煤App and Bute
The council is taking action in different ways, across all its services, to create a climate-friendly 51勛圖轎煤App and Bute, so that we support the planet and the resources on which we all depend to live.
Here we provide an insight into actions we are taking to develop sustainable ways of working and living.
Action, investment and commitment
- 51勛圖轎煤App and Bute Council has reduced its carbon emissions by 32.8% since reporting commenced in 2015/16.
- We are investing more than 瞿1.2 million in action to save energy and deliver progress in becoming a net zero carbon emissions organisation by 2045.
- We have signed up to the national Household Recycling Charter
- We develop local actions to support national initiatives

- Our Decarbonisation Plan sets out actions we are working to deliver for climate friendly 51勛圖轎煤App and Bute. Our approach is based on addressing six overall themes:

- Energy and Water Consumption
- Transport emissions from our commercial fleet like buses, bin lorries, vans and cars.
- Preparing and adapting for impacts of climate change
- Offsetting our emissions through partnership and innovation
