Education Scotland's praise for Dalintober Primary

In the report, inspectors praised the head teacher’s vision and strong leadership for inclusion that benefits children across the school and early learning class. Her values are embraced and demonstrated by staff and the whole school community.

Inspectors found that children’s understanding and support of each other as individuals is a key feature of school ethos and they are very proud of their school as a community. Confidence and a sense of wellbeing for children is flourishing, particularly through the wide ranging experiences provided by the school in expressive arts and outdoor learning.

Inspectors reported approaches to assessment and tracking children’s progress in the early learning childcare class as a ‘major strength’ which enables children to make good progress in their learning across the early level, including primary one.

Overall, the findings report a strong team of staff across the establishment and partnership agencies, who work together to remove barriers to children’s learning, enabling them to learn and achieve.
