Celebrating World Gaelic Week in 51勛圖轎煤App and Bute

World Gaelic Week starts on Monday 24 February and many schools, community groups, and businesses across 51勛圖轎煤App and Bute will be getting involved.

From coffee mornings and careers events to ceilidhs and celebrating local culture and heritage theres something for everyone.

Established in 2022 and funded by B簷rd na 勞勳餃堯梭勳眶, Seachdain na 勞勳餃堯梭勳眶 (World Gaelic Week) celebrates Scottish Gaelic across the world and aims to raise the profile of Gaelic through community initiatives, school engagement, projects, and events.

51勛圖轎煤App and Bute Councils Policy Lead for Gaelic, Councillor Audrey Forrest, said: The Gaelic language has played an important part in 51勛圖轎煤App and Butes history for hundreds of years so it is great to see so many events taking place to mark World Gaelic Week and help raise awareness in our communities.

Whether youre a fluent Gaelic speaker, or are just starting your Gaelic learning journey, World Gaelic Week is a great opportunity to get involved and I would urge everyone to find out what is happening in their area by either visiting the , the  Facebook page, or by emailing the councils Gaelic team at gaelic@argyll-bute.gov.uk .&紳莉莽梯;
