Non Material Amendment Fees
From the 1st April 2025 Non Material Amendment requests are subject to the fees set out below.

Administration charge for returned applications
Administration charge of £50 will be charged for any fee paying planning or related applications which are returned due to failure of the applicant to address reason for invalidation
Surcharge for retrospective planning permissions applications
Surcharge of 25% will be applied to the fee calculation for any retrospective element of a planning application
Discharge of Conditions
Where a request is made to a planning authority for written confirmation of compliance with a condition imposed on the grant of planning permission – Charging to commence during 2025/26 - £110 per submission

Applicants are encouraged to submit planning and related applications online using the Scottish Government’s .

How to pay
There are several ways that you can pay planning application fees:
If you are applying online through the , you will be able to pay online after you have your application.
If you are posting us your application form, you can either:
- use our online payments service (you will need your planning reference number to do this):
- enclose a cheque made payable to "51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Council" with your application
Advertising fees
