I have been threatened not to tell
People who threaten you "not to tell" know what they are doing is wrong. They will say they have reasons for doing what they are doing to you but they are lying. They will even tell you that it’s your fault but that’s the biggest lie of all. It isn’t your fault and they can be stopped. People who abuse others will say anything to cover up the bad things they do.
The job of Police officers and Social Workers is to help and protect you and your family. That is what they do and they are very good at it. When they hear you are being threatened they will do what needs to be done to keep you safe straight away. They will make sure anyone you care about who has been threatened is kept safe. Then they will put things in place to make the abuse stop.
