Connecting communities digitally remains a priority for 51�Թ����App and Bute Council as it continues to support and develop ongoing relationships with the Scottish Government, contractors, communities, and other external partners to ensure the digital future of 51�Թ����App and Bute is at the forefront of discussions.

The community of Campbeltown is reaping the awards from a range of local initiatives as a result of the town’s new Flood Protection Scheme.

As landfill tax currently costs the council around £3m each year we need to reduce the amount of domestic waste that goes to landfill.

Communities across 51�Թ����App and Bute have shared how they are making small changes to the way they travel, where possible, when possible to make a big difference.

With help from the public, the council has recovered nearly £800,000 over the past five years following fraud-related investigations.

51�Թ����App and Bute Council has secured consent to demolish the former Rothesay Academy on Bute.

The council’s Environmental Health team is working with colleagues in licensing and trading standards to track down, and remove, counterfeit bottles of Glen’s vodka which may have found their way to the local market.

From 1 September, everyone who keeps outdoor birds will be required to register them on the new Scottish Kept Bird Register (SKBR) to ensure you are kept up to date with all information needed to help you keep your birds safe and secure from avian flu outbreaks.
